Today during Advisory we launched our Champions for Charity fundraiser. NPMS Champions for Charity, also known as C4C, has raised over $41,000 for charities and nonprofit organizations with local ties to Interior Alaska in the last four years. C4C is a month long fundraising event that will run from early-February through early-March.
Please mark your calendars for our three C4C events.
Teams of a maximum of 14 include staff members, 5-6 boys and 5-6 girls. Teams are forming now and all registrations must be received by January 31st. Students may sign up with a full team, a few friends, or as an individual that will be placed on a team.
Students do not have to be on a team to support a charity or the team playing for it. We are encouraging 6th graders, who won't be able to play in the tournament until next year, and anyone else who does not choose to be on a team to choose a charity to support. Help the team earn points by donating items for our C4C events or by showing team spirit at the McHenryball tournament.
Registration is open for 7th and 8th graders who wish to join a team. Students can pick up a registration packet at school from Mrs. Long, Mrs. Sartz or Mr. Hollett. Registration paperwork and information regarding Champions for Charity can be found on the C4C website at www. npmsc4c.weebly.com.
